| Good Vibrations: John Force's Wendy's Corvette purchased from Dave Sano. I worked on a lot of funny cars over the years including: Midnight Express, Nightwing, Jungle Jim's Monza, Nightmare and John Headley's cars. In the late 80's I got involved with Chas Gilmore and started Eastern States Timing Association. We developed a Top Fuel class and I put a blown Hemi in the Logghe dragster and won the ESTA championship and TF at the GOODGUYS race at Maple Grove in '93. |

I raced a Blue '32 Ford fuel coupe with a hemi and 6 carbs then a Model A coupe in NHRA D/A (which was last raced at the '71 Summernationals at Englishtown - I made it to the semi-final of D/A class). During my TF years I bought the High Roller, Spencer Bros S & W car, and Nirvana. I also drove Pete McKewen's Outer Limits Front engine and rear engine cars. |
My cars included a Buick-powered Crosley, a '32 roadster and a '56 Chevy pick-up were the last of the nailhead powered cars. Late 80's: I teamed up with Ted Brine. We built a clone of the Mooneyham & Sharp 554 Fuel Coupe with my old 392 for power. We put 134 on the side of the '34 because we were not trying to be phonies we were just having fun! |
